‘Go mbeidh an fórsa leat’   translation from Gaelic – ‘May the force be with you’

Constructed using a dry stone wall technique the beehive huts on Skellig Michael were built in the 6th Century by Irish Hermit monks . This incredibly important Island monastic settlement, which remains intact to this day, is located 10 miles off the coast of  Southwest Ireland and is home to 5,000+ pairs of nesting Puffins.
